Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actress. Her appearances in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most popular. She also appeared as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and also played a minor part as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th, 1979. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School. Additionally, she was a part of professional and amateur theatre productions. Swallow graduated from the Stanton College Preparatory School in the city of Jacksonville in 2001, with an Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies. She then went on to study for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her movie debut in The Lucky Ones, a military drama. The show was the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. Also, she starred alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsthe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. She was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her role as Kate in the film The Taming Of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman conceived their own stage show, Jac N Swallow that they staged in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps as they deal with very diverse situations in their lives.
