Robin Gayle

Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas, Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) and was an executive director for national operations at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright an executive in the field of pharmaceuticals. She was born in San Diego. When she was 14 years old, she began her professional career as a model. She was a model in Paris and Japan. After high school graduation, she became an actress. She was part of the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), which was nominated three more times for Daytime Emmys. In the first season the show, she was in love with fellow cast member Dane Witherspoon, whom she was married in 1986. In 1987, she was the role of the title character in The Princess Bride. After she left Santa Barbara, she was given the lead role in Denial (1990) as well as Jason Patric. In the year 1990, she appeared in State of Grace (1990) in which she was introduced to actor Sean Penn, by whom she had a daughter, Dylan Frances, and a son named Hopper Jack. Robin came back to Hollywood after a hiatus with one of her most famous parts: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was stunning and brilliant. She appeared in Toys (1992) the film that was which was a comedy starring Robin Williams. It was an extremely funny performance. Wright was in the blockbuster success Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. Wright was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in recognition of her performance in the film as Jenny. She was offered a minor part in The Crossing Guard (1995) which starred Jack Nicholson. After declining 14 roles she was cast in the title role in MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by Pen Densham, and co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. Alongside William Hurt, she was later featured in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997).
