Milena Govich

Milena Govich, who is a director as well as actor and musician has directed many episodes of TV including Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI The Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012), and others. She also served as the Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is attached to direct two pilots in the process of development. Milena was one of the eight women selected by AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her television series as well as a short film. With Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort It was awarded the award for Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival as and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made, Temporary (2017) was screened across the United States. The film won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. and the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has been featured in close to 100 episodes of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. She later became the only female detective in Law & Order (1990). The actress has appeared on or reprised on a variety of other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as in the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been featured in a variety of movies which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015), starring alongside Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Milena is a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high-school before she completed two major vocal performances and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. She utilized her ballet classical training soon after to stage her Broadway debut in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
